Mile High Nationals Information
July 19th-22nd…. The 14th stop on this year's NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series circuit is unlike any other. Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Bandimere Speedway's 5,860-foot elevation has presented a unique challenge for racers since the first national event was held there in 1979. One driver who has thrived in the thin air is Joe Amato, who last year won his sixth Mopar Parts Mile-High Nationals Top Fuel title. Another is Whit Bazemore, who won his second Funny Car title in three years and in the final recorded the facility's first four-second Funny Car pass. Kurt Johnson defeated a resurgent Darrell Alderman in the Pro Stock final, and Angelle Seeling won Pro Stock Bike.

How to get there:
The track is 10 miles west of Denver just north of the historic town of Morrison. From Denver, take Interstate 70 west to I-470 and travel south to the Morrison Road exit. Take Morrison Road west to Rooney Road and go north to the track.
